Dedicated to the memory of Muriel Clark

Muriel Clark lived a life full of love and dedication. She gained an interest in travel and exploration after spending several years living in Canada, with her husband Colin and her girls, memories which she cherished since. Muriel was immensely proud of her grandsons and their diverse accomplishments. Her life was enriched by her hobbies, her community at Chessington Evangelical Church, and the joy she found in family and friends. Muriel was kind and generous, often supporting those in need. Her legacy is one of warmth, love, and unwavering support for those she held dear.

Our mum, was much loved by her friends and family and we will miss her greatly. It has been comforting for us to reflect on happy memories together and we invite you to share any you have.

We wish to express gratitude to everyone who has supported us since our mum's passing and during the past few years.

With love from Caron, Sarah and Nickie and our families xx

Dear Muriel “Heron” Thank you for such happy Brownie Guiding memories over so many years, for your dedication and for your enduring friendship. You truly let your “light shine” and it will continue to shine in our hearts. Rest peacefully, love Elizabeth and Jack Madgwick

I really got to know Muriel when she and I shared in the refreshment preparation for Rainbow Tots on a Thursday morning at the Kings centre. This we did over a number of years and the highlight was always the end of term parties for the little ones. Muriel was also a faithful supporter our small knitting group and with others provided many lovely items for Christian charities overseas and in the UK. Visits to the garden centre for a meal or just meeting up in each others homes was an important part of our friendship and these times are remembered and missed.

I was one of Muriel's brownies at 2nd Hook in 2005 when I was seven years old. I went back as a young leader in 2012 and then onto an adult leader. I loved Thinking Day every year with Muriel learning about Brownies in Canada and singing her favourite song 'This little Guiding light'. I always called her Heron and she was even saved in my phone as Muriel Heron. Every year on Thinking Day after she left 2nd Hook to look after her grandsons she used to text me to wish me Happy Thinking Day. Every time at the Brownie Bazaar I remember she always did the refreshments stall. I was so pleased that I was able to invite her to my wedding in 2021 and it was so nice to see her having a good time. She will be greatly missed!
